Tutti Arts

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the place now called South Australia, and all First Peoples living and working on this land. We celebrate the history and contemporary creativity of the world’s oldest living culture and pay respect to Elders – past and present. We acknowledge Kaurna, Peramangk and Ngadjuri peoples on whose lands our events and activities are imagined, planned and held. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

Pieces of Memories is a digital animation by Rebecca Eglinton. Drawn in charcoal style and presented inside a travel chest.

It invites the viewer to think about the story of the Germanic settlers journey to the Barossa. Bringing together contemporary art with found objects. It focuses on the selection and significance of the objects they chose to take to their new homes.

Pieces of Memories is on display at the Barossa Museum as part of History Month.

The creation of this installation was supported by Country Arts SA, the Australian Government Department of Social Services and Tutti Arts Inc. Rebecca works in Tutti Arts Barossa’s Technically Brilliant program where she was supported to develop her creative technology skills and create the artwork featured in Pieces of Memories.
